In today’s episode, we’re bringing you the first installment of our new book club! Our inaugural guest is Joe Polish, author of “What’s in It for Them?”. We love this book, so we’re excited to pick Joe’s brain about what inspired it, what we can learn from it, and more.
Joe Polish is a master of networking and finding business success. At its core, his book is written for “givers” about how to protect themselves from “takers”. In a lot of today’s business settings, relationships can be a little exploitative. Joe’s mission is to draw the line between being profitable and being toxic, both in business and our personal lives. While Joe didn’t explicitly set out to do this, you could think of this book as an unofficial sequel to the famous “How To Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.
